Community Office
The primary focus of T.W.O.'s Community Office is to empower the community by assisting in organizing the people around issues that affect their lives.

Entry House
Helping those whose lives have become unmanageable because of alcohol or drug dependencies.

Family Case Management
An infant mortality reduction initiative that provides outreach to pregnant women and families with infants up to age one.

Violence Interruptors/Cease Fire
The Chicago Project for Violence Prevention was formed in 1995 as a strategic public health initiative to support community-based violence prevention.  CeaseFire is one of its initiatives.   Although CeaseFire funding has been cut statewide, the two Violence Interrupters (funded by NCP Woodlawn) still utilize CeaseFire tactics and strategies when combating violence in the Woodlawn community and remains quite effective.

Woodlawn Early Childhood Development Center

The Woodlawn Early Childhood Development center is a state subsidized and fully accredited childcare center that provides Daycare and Head Start for more than 100 children ages 2-5.  WECDC is a subcontracting site with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) State Pre-Kindergarten Programs.  As a result of this collaboration, we are able to support families with children with special needs.  Located on the campus of the University of Chicago , the center provides an excellent place for children to learn, play and receive various support services.

Truancy Intervention

Providing social services to truant high school students in the Chicago Public School system. With more than 26,000 students in the CPS system identified as absent on a daily basis, T.W.O. took up the challenge of focusing on three schools with excessively high truancy rates that constituted more than 4% of the overall absenteeism rate.
