The Woodlawn Community Development Corporation (WCDC) was founded in 1972 to serve as the umbrella for TWO’s real estate development (hyperlink) and management activities (hyperlink). Since its inception, WCDC has been committed to the development of economically, socially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods in traditionally high-risk areas. |

In each development project, WCDC has created opportunities for neighborhood associations, churches, local agencies, and community organizations to be active participants in the development process. For over 30 years, WCDC has demonstrated a capacity to work creatively with a number of public bodies, elected officials, civic organizations and private investors to achieve the common goal of building a stable Woodlawn.
WCDC has developed 1,357 units of single family and senior housing in over 14 developments
WCDC manages 10 of the projects it developed as well as 12 CHA properties, for a total of 4,980 units of housing. WCDC uses its considerable expertise and experience to ensure that vibrant communities are maintained at all economic levels.
