Over the past 10 years, the Family Case Management program has never received a cost of living adjustment (COLA), whereas many other Illinois DHS programs have received COLAs. Without a COLA, grants have, in effect, decreased annually.
Illinois pays more than $26.50 per month or $315 per year for each case, which does not cover the cost of case management services for each case.
With all cases being reimbursed at the same rate, it does not accommodate special needs that some mothers may have. What this means is that T.W.O.'s Family Case Management program needs your donations!
We are accepting donations on an on-going basis to help meet the needs of our program. Both monetary and in-kind donations are accepted and are tax-deductible up to the amount permitted by law.
Items such as baby food, diapers, linens, formula, etc. are all items that we need. To learn more about the items we need, please contact Ingrid Silmon, FCM Program Director at 773-752-0911.
